I just realized that one of my most favorite bands, german punkrockband Die Ärzte have a song about fighting zombies which fits Resident Evil quite well so I thought I translate the lyrics for you guys into english.
Here is a little basic info about the band first since most of you wont know them:
Die Ärzte (german for "the Doctors") were founded in the german capital of Berlin in 1982 (They turn 30 this year!) by guitarist Farin Urlaub, drummer Bela B. and bass guitarist Sahnie. However in 1985 Sahnie left the band after he turned out to be only craving money and fame and not caring much about the music. He was replaced in 1987 by Hagen Liebing. The band dissolved in 1988, fearing they could not take the pressure of success but reformed in 1993 after just missing the band too much. When they reformed Hagen was replaced as bass guitarist by Belas good friend Rodrigo Gonzalez who has been the bands ultimate bass guitarist and piano player ever since. Today its impossible to imagine DÄ (Die Ärzte) without him - he also wrote the song about fighting zombies which he dedicated to George Romeros "Dawn of the Dead", of which he is a big fan.
Ever since their reformation DÄ have become one of the most popular and successful german rockbands of all time in the last two decades. They have released about 20 albums and played over 4000 concerts (The new tour for 2012 has been already sold out for months). They are famous for their very entertaining live shows and for doing practically everything they want without knowing any boundaries - the crazier the better. They are famous for involving the audience a lot in their shows and for being extremely hilarious, funny and their juvenile humour which they celebrate in pure delight. They played an unplugged concert in a school, created an album thats just about hair and have songs that are about things like funny astronauts, going to the baker, being a sausage, a girl having sex with her dog or them telling each other how badly they wanna fuck each other. That however is always done with tons of tongue in cheek humour and lots of irony and sarcasm. But they are not just a funpunk band as people often call them. They also have very serious, deep, romantic, political, socially critical or powering songs as well.
