This is in response to raccooncitynews via twitter asking about Silent Hill and which is your favorite:
Silent Hill 1 is a game that is close to my heart, just like Resident Evil: it's one of those games that I had the task of completing because after my father passed in 2006, he had never beaten Silent Hill 1 or the continuation of the Resident Evil series (after RE2).
I took it upon myself to complete his legacy and finish the only Silent Hill game he never completed. I also was tasked with carrying on his Resident Evil legacy after he passed. I'm proud to be his son who had continued the two best survival horror games of the 90s.

Capcom used this iconic logo for the first time in the original Resident Evil released in 1996.
Resident Evil is a survival horror video game developed and released by Capcom originally for the PlayStation in 1996 and is the first game in the Resident Evil series. The game's plot follows Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, members of an elite task force known as S.T.A.R.S., as they investigate the outskirts of Raccoon City following the disappearance of their team members. They soon become trapped in a mansion infested with zombies and other monsters. The player, having selected to play as Chris or Jill at the start of the game, must explore the mansion to uncover its secrets.
Hey, RE Fanboy community.
First off I want to apologize for not being active the last 4 months due to mental health issues and depression. It has hit me like the guy who drove the semi through downtown Raccoon City.
I will continue to post on the twitter page as myself til I feel that I am ready to deliver some good content for you guys.
Resident Evil Outbreak, known as Biohazard Outbreak in Japan, is a survival-horror game released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 between 2003 and 2004. Capcom released the sequel titled Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 in 2005.
It was the first Resident Evil game with multiplayer capability, using the PlayStation 2's online network (Though, the servers have since shut down). Up to four players could participate simultaneously in one scenario; alternately, in single-player mode, the player is accompanied by two AI-controlled characters. Outbreak introduces the "virus gauge," which limits the number of time players may spend on a scenario. The virus gauge rises at different rates for different characters and increases rapidly if the character is attacked or crawling on the ground. The game lost all online play capabilities for the USA servers in 2007. The Japan servers stayed up but finally went down in July 2011.
We don't have a dedicated Resident Evil Outbreak forum yet which is why I posted this poll in the Lounge.
