Resident Evil Code: Veronica, which Capcom released in 2000, is, in my opinion, the last "true" survival horror Resident Evil before Capcom introduced Resident Evil 4 in 2005 with a more action-heavy experience that carried over into the many sequels that followed. Code: Veronica was slow, methodical, full of convoluted puzzles, and most importantly, utterly terrifying. Just the way Resident Evil core players like myself loved. Will we get a Code: Veronica remake? I sure hope so. Anyway, what do you think? Was Resident Evil CODE: Veronica the last true Resident Evil title? Let me know by replying to this topic. I'd love to hear your opinion! -
I voted for the original Resident Evil as it is the title that started it all. It was the catalyst to our beloved survival horror series. However, the remake has a better story, locations, soundtrack, and voice acting. It makes sense as it had the original as a blueprint to model itself after. 🙂
